Military operation in Syria does enormous good for Russian defense industry - Putin

MSOCOW, June 15. /TASS/. Advanced Russian weapons systems have been put to a test in conditions of the military operation in Syria and the experiences of their use are invaluable, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during his annual televised question and answer session on Thursday. "It has done enormous good for our defense industry. The use of cutting-edge weapons has allowed us to understand how they work in combat conditions and to make required corrections in the quality of these advanced weapons systems. But we knew for sure they are good weapons." Representatives of Russian defense enterprises go on work trips to Syria with the aim to make corrections needed to upgrade weapons and combat hardware, depending on their efficiency in combat activities. "I can say that our Armed Forces’ experiences gained in combat conditions, what is more with the use of cutting-edge weapons, are invaluable, I do not exaggerate saying this," the president said.
