Military-technical cooperation between Russia and Iraq will contribute to freeing Mosul from terrorists - Russian deputy PM

BAGHDAD, February 11. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has said he hopes Iraqi army will oust terrorists from the city of Mosul and other regions of the country. "We hope that the next session of our bilateral commission on Iraqi territory will take place not in Baghdad but in Mosul, liberated from bandits," Rogozin noted. "We want to see this city free from moral freaks that terrorize civilians as soon as possible," he added. The deputy prime minister expressed hope that military-technical cooperation between the two countries will contribute to freeing Mosul and other Iraqi regions from terrorists. Rogozin also hopes that the next session of the inter-governmental commission on the Russian territory may be held in one of large industrial centers in the Urals and Siberia. "We will move further from Moscow to the East so that our Iraqi colleagues understand Russia’s great opportunities and powerful attitude toward partnership," the deputy prime minister noted. The bilateral commission should work on a regular basis and become "a guide and protector" of business interests of Russia and Iraq, Rogozin concluded. Read more
