Minister of Culture Meets French, Japanese Officials

Doha, March 15 (QNA) - The Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, HE Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, met here on Sunday with President of the Association of National Museums of France, Dr. Jean-Paul Closele, who is currently visiting Doha to participate in the "Technical Innovation Conference for Tomorrow" organized by the New York Times newspaper under the auspices of the Qatar Museums Authority and the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage. Talks during the meeting dealt with aspects of cultural cooperation between the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage and the Association of National Museums of France in cultural fields and means of enhancing them. For his part, Dr. Closele expressed his appreciation for the great level reached by the culture sector in Qatar, praising the various cultural institutions of the State and its role in promoting cultural and artistic movement in the country. Dr. Al Kuwari also met here today with a visiting delegation from the Japanese Cabinet Secretariat comprising Special Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan, Isao Kiso, Advisor to the Cabinet Secretary, Io Amoto Kengo and Managing Director, National Congress of Industrial Heritage, Koko Kato. During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cultural cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing them as well as the Japanese government's nomination of Sites of Meiji Industrial Revolution: Kyushu-Yamaguchi and Related Areas as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
