Ministry: 3895 housing units under construction

Manama, May 27 (BNA): Housing Minister Bassim bin Yaqoub Al Hammer said the new cities of Bahrain project includes the northern (al-Shamaliya) city , east al-Hidd, east Sitra, Southern governorate's housing and al-Ramli housing projects. The project constitutes the basic pillar for implementation of 25,000 residential units listed under the Government Action Plan (GAP2015-2018). Al Hammer said 3895 housing units will be constructed in east al-Hidd and the northern city, part of which in the range between 10% and 90% have already been accomplished. The minister conducted a field inspection tour of the projects in the northern city and east al-Hidd to check work progress and ensure sustainability of projects listed under GAP. These projects are being constructed as part of the 40,000 residential units plan.
