Ministry of Labour Organizes First Career Day for Hotels Sector

Doha, October 19 (QNA) - The Manpower Department at the Ministry of labour and Social Affairs has completed arrangements for the first career day to be organized by the Ministry for the hotels sector on Tuesday with the participation of 22 five star hotels to provide various jobs in all hotel sectors and services. The Department confirmed during a preparatory meeting today that HE the Minister of labour and Social Affairs Abdallah Saleh Al Khulaifi will open the career day which will be held under his sponsorship in the presence of the participating managers and senior leaderships in hotels as well as a number of public figures and officials. The Department pointed out that the Ministry is seeking through the day to change the idea of the Qatar towards the hotels sector and to encourage them to join it in order to gain experience in vital areas with large economic feasibility. The Department indicated that jobs available in hotels range from recruitment, training and scholarships, adding that all jobs of the hotels sectors will be available to citizens through the career day. It explained that the Ministry had informed the citizens registered in the lists of job seekers by text messages and advertisements in newspapers and through the Ministry's website, and Twitter so that they can participate and get jobs.(QNA)
