Ministry of Municipality and Environment Participates in Expert Level Meeting to Follow Up Implementation of Arab Health and Environment Strategy

Doha, November 11 (QNA) - The Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by Environmental Affairs, participated in the joint expert level meeting to follow up the implementation of the Arab Health and Environment Strategy and its Action Guide (2017-2030), which was held via visual communication technology. The meeting reviewed decisions of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for the Environment discussed the steps taken by Arab member states in implementing the Arab Health and Environment Strategy, the most important obstacles they faced and proposed solutions to overcome them, as well as the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. They also discussed the agreement on the draft agenda for the Arab Ministerial Forum for Health on Environment and its next date. They concluded the meeting with recommendations, the most important were reconsidering the priorities of health and the environment, taking the necessary precautions and measures for the COVID-19 pandemic, and its reflection on the Arab Health and Environment Strategy.
