Missing Children Portal A Good Initiative - PM Najib

KUALA LUMPUR, July 16 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Najib Razak has lauded the efforts of the police in launching a portal to help in the search of missing children in the country. Najib through his Twitter account Wednesday expressed the hope that the portal would receive feedback and help from the public. "Portal http://knk2hilang.rmp.gov.my/ good initiative Polis Diraja Malaysia (Royal Malaysia Police). Hopefully, the search for missing children will be more successful with help and information from the public," he said. The portal launched on PDRM's official website on July 8 is a collaborative effort between the Royal Malaysia Police and Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development. It was reported that of the total number of children aged below 18 years going missing between 2011 and May 2015, 8,441 were eventually found but 338 are still missing. -- BERNAMA
