Missing M'sian Trekker: Search Team Prepared To Move To New Location

KUALA LUMPUR, April 21 (Bernama) -- The search for a Malaysian who went missing while trekking with a group of colleagues in Western Nepal early this month, may shift to a nearby location. Malaysia Embassy Counsellor/Charge d'Affaires in Kathmandu, Fadli Adilah said the search and rescue (SAR) team might resort to scouring the new location as there had been no concrete lead on the whereabouts of businessman Dennis Lee Thian Poh. In a statement, he said SAR efforts resumed Monday, involving a total of 21 people from the Nepalese police force and trekking agencies, among others. On April 5, Lee, 47, had joined eight colleagues from the Philippines to scale the Annapurna circuit in Nepal. The group only became aware of his disappearance at the Khopra Danda Track in the Ghorepani area - on the first day of their circuit climb. He was last seen in the Khopra-Bayeli area, which has an altitude of between 3,500 and 3,800 metres. -- BERNAMA
