Mobile Cabinet meeting in Chiang Mai ends

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND, June 30 (TNA) - The new mobile Cabinet meeting in Chiang Mai Province in the Thai North has ended, after provincial development projects were discussed. Top agenda at the latest mobile Cabinet meeting, set from June 29-30 and chaired by Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha, included Chiang Mai's proposed mega-infrastructure development projects, covering a new international airport, the second one in the northern resort province, local mass transit systems, cross-border transport and logistics connectivity with neighbouring countries and water management. An exhibition was also organised concurrently to showcase past development projects which have been implemented and completed by the Thai government. After the latest mobile Cabinet meeting, amid tight security measures, the prime minister headed to Phitsanulok Province in the Lower Thai North to inspect progress of his interim government's projects there.
