Mobile phone donation for charity

BANGKOK, Aug 10 (TNA) - The Department of Local Administration invites public members to donate their old mobile phones for proper e-waste recycling.

The proceeds from the recycling will be used to buy new books and learning materials for the child development centers in rural areas.

The department’s director-general, Suttipong Juljarern said the old mobile phones can be given to its offices nationwide until Aug 31 this year.

So far, more than 420,000 mobile phones have been donated.

The project is cooperation of the department and Nanmeebooks to promote proper management of e-waste. (TNA)
