Mogadishu like a construction area

MOGADISHU (A.A) – March 11, 2012 – Somali capital of Mogadishu is like a construction area. Speaking to AA correspondent in Mogadishu, Turkish ambassador Kani Torun said that Turkish state and nongovernmental organizations launched several initiatives in the capital after Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit. After Mogadishu Airport was restored by Turkey's International Development and Cooperation Agency (TIKA), Turkish Airlines (THY) launched flights to the city, he said. Hospitals, orphanage and dormitory were opened in the city, he said, adding that two schools would also be restored soon. Somali people also started to make investments in Mogadishu, the ambassador added.
