MONGOLIA ABOUT UN PEACEKEEPING OPERATIONS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ These operations are among priorities of Mongolia's foreign policy, Mongolia is ready to widen this cooperation with the international community. The Minster of Foreign Affairs Mr Bold has underlined as such at a "New Dialogue on UN Peacekeeping Operations: Strengthening partnership" meeting and at high level meeting themed "Fortifying international peacekeeping operations", which have run on the fields of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly in New-York. The high level was initiated and chaired by Mr Joe Biden, the Vice President of the USA. It also released a joint declaration. Our FM received a certificate that confirms that a Mongolian promoted to a higher office of the peacekeeping operations. Accordingly, a Brigadier-General D.Bayarsaikhan has been appointed the regional commander of the UN Peacekeeping Operations in South Sudan.
