MONGOLIA TO COLLABORATE WITH ISRAEL IN REHAB SURGERY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Israel has a willingness to cooperate with Mongolia in the health sector. The Concurrent Non-Resident Ambassador of Israel Mr Matan Vilnai said it at a meeting when he and accompanied him official were received Tuesday by N.Udval, the Mongolia’s Minister of Health. First, Israel’s side put forward a proposal to Mongolia to cooperate in introducing a new technology for accelerating healing of big wounds caused by trauma and diabetics. Combined oxygen and vacuum treatments, this technology has been invented by Professor M.Topaz, an Israeli rehabilitation surgeon, Mr Vilnai mentioned. Moreover, the Ambassador said a team of eye surgeons of his country wants to work in Mongolia. In response, Ms Udval mentioned that medical doctors and surgeons from the National Center for Traumatology and Rehabilitation (NSTR) and the 1st Central Clinical Hospital have been involved in training to get familiarized with the new technology of Israel, and then said it necessary to develop the collaboration between the Israeli doctors and the NSTR. She appreciated the proposal for collaborating with eye surgeons of the country, and said it is possible to collaborate in holding training-seminar regarding the eye medical treatment.
