MONGOLIA-KUWAIT RESEARCH CENTER RECEIVES FIRST-STAGE FINANCING

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Environment, Green Development and Tourism Ms D.Oyunkhorol Tuesday received from Mr Khaled Al-Fadhli, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kuwait to Mongolia a certificate of first-year financing for the Mongolia-Kuwait joint research center. During the certificate granting ceremony, the Minister and the Ambassador highlighted that the joint research center’s establishment is one of the expressions of the bilateral relations and cooperation especially in the environment sector. Having an area of 3,000 square meters, the research center has been built with a non-refundable of USD 3.5 million from the Emir of Kuwait Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. This center will run workshop and research works on environment and will carry out various actions on tourism, collaborating with scientific centers, institutions, universities and laboratories.
