The gathered discussed their common problems and ways of receiving a support in overcoming them from other countries, from the UN including. Our FM said Mongolia--one of the developing economies--initiated many works to draw international and WTO attention to an improvement of the competitiveness of these countries. One of these deeds was the establishment of Think-tank Institute for Landlocked Countries in Ulaanbaatar in 2013, "and Mongolia wants to include the Institute in the UN system". There are 42 landlocked countries in the world, 31 of them are developing economies. According to the World Bank, these economies cover not more than one percent of the global trade volume, moreover, they have to spend twice as much for the export that that of other countries. After this, Mr Bold met with G.Achari, the UN High commissioner and secretary-general for landlocked countries. L.Bold thanked him for showing support and for participating in the conference themed “WTO trade facilitation agreement and the impact on landlocked economies” which ran in Ulaanbaatar this year. The High commissioner reaffirmed his invitation for the Prime Minister of Mongolia to participate in the second United Nations Conference on LLDC to be held in Vienna this November.
