MONGOLIA-S.KOREA BUSINESS FORUM RUNNING

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Mongolia-South Korea business forum kicked off Monday in the “Ikh tenger” complex near Ulaanbaatar. Organized by the Mongolia-S.Korea Economic Forum NGO, the forum aims to intensify the economic ties between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea, to promote initiatives on establishing a free trade agreement, to introduce new technologies in Mongolia, to train staffers and to re-train Mongolians who lived in the South Korea. A founder of the NGO and chairman of its Steering Council G.Batkhuu MP addressed the forum’s opening. He mentioned about the 25th anniversary of the Mongolia-S.Korea diplomatic relations to be marked in 2015, and noted this NGO has been founded to design mutually-beneficial policy for the bilateral economic ties, let business people exchange experiences, and to attract investments. Mr Batkhuu said that visa-issuing for Mongolians has been eased as results of measures taken during the visits of Mongolia’s parliamentary Speaker and the Foreign Minister to South Korea. The two countries have established contracts and agreements that will significantly contribute to the development of the bilateral economic cooperation, he added. The business forum, held for the sixth time, has brought together 120 delegates from the two countries, including politicians, researchers, economists, largest companies and organizations. The forum attendees Tuesday legged the “Erdenes Tavantolgoi” company and some Mongolia-based S.Korean companies. The parties agreed to hold this forum two times in a year, to exchange business information, to boost win-win cooperation, to assist business organizations of the two countries in their cooperating in the construction sector, and to set up sub-committees on social-economy, business, economy and education affairs. The forum will finish on Tuesday.
