Mongolian and Chinese Defense Ministries launch consultative meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Consultative meeting between the Ministries of Defense of Mongolia and the People’s Republic of China commences on August 9 in Ulaanbaatar, chaired by the Satte Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Mongolia Colonel B.Batsaikhan and the Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff and Admiral of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) of China Sun Jianguo. Defense Minister of Mongolia visited to China in 2003. During the visit, the sides have established an agreement on military and technical cooperation, which was a significant event for expanding and upgrading the bilateral ties, noted the State Secretary. The latter extended gratitude to the Chinese side for sending a representation of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to the “Khaan Quest” International Annual Exercises, take place in Mongolia, and expressed his hope that this kind of participation will remain from China. At the consultative meeting, the sides are considering the details of the issues discussed during the 2013 visit of Mongolia Defense Minister to China, and the measures to be implemented in the area of defense cooperation of the two countries.
