MONGOLIAN AND U.S. PARKS TO COOPERATE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A ceremony took place on March 6 in the U.S Embassy in UB to establish a cooperation agreement between the National Park of Khovsgol Lake and the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore--a U.S. National Lakeshore on the shore of Lake Superior in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This agreement has been signed by A.Namkhai, a department head of the Ministry of Environment and Tourism; and a head of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore at the U.S National Park Service. By creating the agreement, the two sides have opened opportunities to cooperate in sharing information and experience on protection of environment and mineral resources, techniques and technologies.
