Mongolian delegation participates in international forum

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Road and Transportation, A.Gansukh is participating in the "International transport forum-2013". He is there by invitation of Dr. Peter Raumsauer, the Federal Minister of Transport of the Federal Republic of Germany on May 22-24 in Leipzig. During his participation in the forum he has made with Dr. Raumsauer and with Dr. Rьdiger, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank AG to share views on the cooperation issues. Mr Gansukh has also signed a memorandum between his Ministry and the Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development of Germany. The "International transport forum 2013" started three days of discussions in Leipzig on how best to raise money for the infrastructure projects of the future. Participants agreed that the current generation of policy makers was facing an acute shortage of long-term finance in the transportation sector, adding to their already serious public funding woes. The global financial crisis and the ongoing eurozone debt dilemma have been putting a major strain on public budgets, forced banks to tighten their lending and made private investors a lot more cautious. The forum evolved from the European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT) in 2006/7. At the time, ministers decided to invite new members from non-European countries in order to address transport issues on a global level and for all transport modes, and to create a public platform for a broad policy dialogue.
