Mongolians are studying Canadian justice system

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ More than twenty delegates from the Mongolian government are in Vancouver to get a few pointers from the Canadian justice system as the north Asian nation revamps its own, the Canadian vancouver.24hrs.ca website said Tuesday. As the website goes on, Mongolia is reviewing models from around the world as its government undertakes the major reforms, according to a press release from the British Columbia Ministry of Justice. The ministry said the delegation will meet with court administrators, judges and lawyers among others who work in the sector. “It is extremely rare for a country to completely reform its justice system, and Canadians should be proud that Mongolia looks to our system as an ideal model for its country to consider,” said the ministry in a release. “These reforms replace a justice system in Mongolia that is a legacy of its past relationship with the Soviet Union.”
