More Than 25 Ministers to Attend UITP Public Transport Summit in Doha

Doha, October 19 (QNA) - More than 25 ministers from the MENA region, Asia and Europe will attend the Biennial Public Transport Industry's 2nd UITP PT for Large Events Summit & showcase on Safety and Security to be hosted by Mowasalat in Doha from 25 to 27 November at at the Qatar National Convention Centre. Ministers from 30 countries and large number of experts, speakers and exhibitors will attend the Summit, according to a statement released by Mowasalat today. Qatar Rail will partner Mowasalat as event sponsor, while Qatar Airways will extend preferential rates for all coming to Qatar to attend this event. Showcase & Exhibition over an area of 4,000 square metres will be held at the Qatar National Convention Centre. The event will be attended by more than 400 delegates from around the world, up to 60 World class speakers who will share their knowledge & experience from the past large events and engage the delegates attending the Congress sessions, large number of industry experts and visitors to network and knowledge share, more than 40 exhibitors who will showcase their innovation & latest technology. Exclusive Qatar Pavilion where Ministries in the State of Qatar will be present to showcase Qatar future. Local youth from Qatar University along with students from all over the region and the globe will participate in the youth lab to evolve for the future along with the Youth for Public Transport, UITP. Mowasalat's initiative to host this biennial Summit promises to be a success as overseen by the Ministry of Transport and supported by UITP with its members from more than 100 countries and transport industry experts and professionals. A successful hosting offers global exposure, prestige and legitimacy for Qatar, to be part of vibrant emerging economies and gives motivation to the youth to plan and prepare for a sustainable future with improved quality of life and economic well-being duly supported by a transportation and mobility system of world class standards.
