More pirated goods seized in Thai East

SA KAEO, THAILAND, August 4 (TNA) - Thai authorities have continued cracking down pirated goods, seizing, in a latest move, sportwares worth about 10 million baht. Nimit Saengampai, a customs director for investigation and suppression 2, reportedly coordinated with the Burapa Military Task Force and local police to search 26 warehouses near the Rong Klua Market in Aranyaprathet District of Sa Kaeo Province in the Thai East, bordering Cambodia, on Monday and found pirated sportwares at three warehouses. The Thai authorities then seized all the pirated products, worth about 10 million baht. Samphan Jarurattananon, Aranyaprathet customs chief, told reporters that his customs officials have seized over 1,000 items of pirated products, worth nearly 15 million baht in the area so far, including the latest confiscated goods, while other seized products were pirated shoes and jeans.
