Morocco Determined To Improve Ties With Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, July 31 (Bernama) -- Morroco is determined to further enhance its ties with Malaysia, said Morrocan Ambassador to Malaysia Ahmed Faouzi. He said the two countries' cooperation should not be limited to the economic sector only but also in other fields like social and cultural. "Despite geographical distance, we have the same tradition, similar ethics and the Islamic religion. Since the two countries (Morocco and Malaysia) have good political relation we should cooperate more in social and cultural areas," he told Bernama after the Morocco's 15th Anniversary of the Enthronement of King Mohammed VI, here Wednesday. Ahmed said the economic relation between both countries were growing and he hoped it could be increased substantially. "Both governments have shown great leadership in strengthening our bilateral relationship and our respective economies. This is due to the wisdom and sagacity of our leaders, King Mohammed VI and Prime Minister Najib Razak. So we hope this relations will continue," he said. About 200 guests, including ambassadors, diplomats as well as Deputy Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister Tajuddin Abdul Rahman attended the event. --BERNAMA
