Moscow Hostel Fire: Five Students Still Warded

KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 (Bernama) -- One of the six Malaysian students warded at the Sklifosovskogo Hospital, Moscow due a fire incident on Wednesday night, was discharged Friday. Embassy of Malaysia in Moscow deputy head Francisco Munis said the five remaining students were still undergoing medical treatment for carbon monoxide poisoning and burns. "The other five students are still being warded and our officers are still monitoring their condition," he told Bernama when contacted Friday. On Wednesday, 21 Malaysian students at the Russian National Research Medical University (RNRMU) were affected by a fire that broke out at its students hostel at 11.30pm (Moscow Time). Seven Malaysian students, Mohannan Pattu, Pavin Raaj Selva Kumar, Praveena Sunthar Raj, Chen Wei Jun, Naveen Anbalakan, Zainal Nastain and Sharath Raj, were warded.
