Moscow opens Azeri artist`s exhibition

Moscow, December 3 (AzerTAc). An exhibition “One Thousand and One Nights” by Azerbaijani painter and draughtsman, People`s Artist of Russia and Azerbaijan, vice president of the Russian Academy of Arts, laureates of the USSR State Prizes Tahir Salahov in Aydan Gallery in Russian capital. Director of the gallery, member of the Russian Academy of Arts Aydan Salahova said that this exhibition is her birthday gift for her father. She underlined that originals of sceneries` drafts to Fikrat Amirov`s “One Thousand and One Nights” ballet and a carpet made by Ganja carpet-weaver women on the basis of the drafts were displayed at the exhibition for the first time. Tahir Salahov highlighted the organization of his exhibition in Nakhchivan. Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu, president of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli, secretary general of the All-Russia Congress of Azerbaijanis Mikayil Huseynov made speeches in the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Tahir Salahov`s exhibition will last till next Saturday.
