Moscow Vitrtuosi chamber orchestra gives concert in Gabala

Gabala, July 31, AZERTAC The seventh international music festival is underway in Gabalaş The sixth day of the festival featured the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra led by famous conductor Paul Mayer. The concert also featured Novaya Rossiya State Symphonic Orchestra and Artistic Director of Gabala international music festival, cellist Dmitriy Yablonskiy. The concert presented masterful compositions by Mozart, Haydn and Veber. The Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra will give another concert in Gabala today. The concert will also feature winners of the 3rd Gabala International Piano contest and the festival's closing ceremony. In 1979, Vladimir Spivakov, an outstanding virtuoso violinist, with a group of his friends and artistic associates, mostly winners of international music competitions, as well as soloists and section leaders of the best Moscow symphonic and chamber orchestras, founded the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra. Thus, the highest performance standard was set up from the very moment of the orchestra's establishment, which justified its claim for a rather ambitious, at a first glance, title of "Moscow Virtuosi".
