MPP FACTION HEAD WORKS IN KHOVD

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A head of the Mongolian People’s Party’s (MPP) faction at parliament S.Byambatsogt MP worked in his constituency Khovd aimag February 18-24. His tour coincided with those of head of the Democratic Party’s (DP) faction D.Erdenebat, Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Ts.Oyungerel, and Vice Minister of Population Development and Social Welfare E.Tamir. On February 21, the representatives of parliament and government held a meeting in the aimag’s administration to present to the local people a general plan for Khovd city and to exchange views on it. This plan is being worked out by foreign experts, exploiting 1.3 billion togrog from the state budget, the MPP faction head said and obliged the province's authorities to draw up the plan after carefully discussing it together with people and reflecting their views and proposals. After the meeting, Byambatsogt attended an opening of a new indoor commercial center in the aimag’s center, and then met small- and middle-sized businessmen. He asked the local officials why a construction of some buildings and objects has been frozen and gave a report about it to the cabinet members and the DP faction head.
