MPs present bill to tighten environmental protection

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ “Share of revenues from royalties and environmental pollution payments to be dedicated to environmental conservation and rehabilitation” bill was presented to Speaker by S.Demberel and S.Oyun MPs on February 5. The bill aims to tighten the regulations regarding the designated share of revenues coming from royalties paid by mining companies and other environmental polluters to environmental rehabilitation and natural conservation. Company that decreases the revenue of royalties, and/or uses the revenue for different purposes will be imposed money fine equivalent to 20-30 times minimum wage, and a person who made similar violation will be imposed 10 times minimum wage monetary fine, according to the bill.
