M'sia's PM Najib To Visit Japan Sunday

From D. Arul Rajoo TOKYO, May 23 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Najib Razak will make a three-day official visit to Japan beginning Sunday. Malaysian Ambassador to Japan, Ahmad Izlan Idris said Najib, who is expected to arrive at 8am in Tokyo, would attend a cocktail reception with about 250 Malaysian students and community. On Monday, Najib and his wife, Rosmah Mansor will have a tight schedule, with the highlight being an audience with Japan's Emperor and Empress at the Imperial Palace. Najib will then attend a round table meeting with 34 captains of industries. The prime minister will then hold a bilateral meeting with his counterpart Shinzo Abe. On Tuesday, Najib will deliver a keynote address at the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) Roundtable before departing to Sendai. Before taking the high speed train to Sendai, Najib will be given a briefing on Shinkansen high speed train and development around Tokyo Station. In Sendai, he will have a dialogue with students at the Tohoku university before departing home. -- BERNAMA
