Muharraq Governorate's Majlis condems Iran's interference

Manama, July 27 (BNA): The weekly Majlis of the Muharraq Governorate has strongly condemned the "hateful and spiteful" Iranian statements against the kingdom’s security and stability. Attended by citizens, dignitaries and local Majlis owners from Muharraq’s towns and villages, the Majlis affirmed unwavering allegiance to the leadership represented by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister. The attendees also voiced full support to the statement made by Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa in rejection of Iran’s interference. Muharraq Governor Salman bin Hindi said that all citizens across the governorate reject the Iranian statements reflecting Iran’s deep hatred of Bahrain and its loyal people. On behalf of the governorate’s citizens, Bin Hindi called for confronting firmly those who call for violence and incite acts of sabotage and sectarian sedition, and punish those seeking to tamper with national security and achievements, lauding the efforts of the military, security and the citizens for defending the security and unity of the homeland. The citizens of Muharraq city, Samaheej, Al-Dair, Qalali, Arad, Al Hidd, Busaiteen, Al Hala, East and West Muharraq have pledged to defend the cherished land against whoever seeks to undermine the kingdom’s security and stability or target its hard-won achievements, he said. The governor stressed that the Iranian statements and threats require serious steps towards the establishments of the Gulf Union, being the bulwark against the terrorist ideology. He called on Iran to focus on enhancing the living standards of its people and lift it out of poverty and destitution caused by the terrorism policy adopted by its rulers. The audience expressed sincere thanks to the Interior Minister and all the Interior Ministry’s affiliates for their tireless efforts to ensure the security of the nation, lauding the recent security operation which foiled the smuggling of weapons and explosives coming from Iran. The governor concluded the Majlis by affirming that Muharraq will remain, as it has always been, united and loyal to the nation and allegiant to HM the King and the leadership.
