Muslim Worldˈs Biggest Quranic Event To Open In Tehran

Tehran, May 26, IRNA – The 31st International Quran Competition on Recitation and Memorization of the Holy Quran, the biggest Quranic event of the Muslim world, is scheduled to open here Monday. Iranian senior officials are expected to attend the inauguration ceremony. Quran memorizers and reciters from more than 70 countries around the world are going to participate in the contest. A big Quran expo is also planned to be held on the sidelines of the competition. Iranˈs 31st International Holy Quran Competition will continue into June 2. The contest, organized by the Awqaf (Religious Endowment) and Charity Affairs Organization, is annually held in Tehran./end
