N Kalimantan To Build Small City As Seat Of Administration

Tanjung Selor, N Kalimantan, Dec 19 (Antara) - North Kalimantan will build a small city to become the seat of the provincial administration, acting governor of the new province Irianto Lambrie said. "One of the priorities in the layout and territorial program of North Kalimantan is the seat of administration of the newest province," Irianto said in a statement here on Thursday. North Kalimantan was formerly part of East Kalimantan, before its status was promoted into a province. The layout of the sea of provincial administration and capital of North Kalimantan would be presented in front of the president and related ministries. The plan has been reported to the president when President joko Widodo visited the region earlier. The president gave a nod to the plan ans inquired the cost, Irianto said, adding "hopefully we would have assistance such as financially." He said the project is estimated to cost Rp15 trillion including the administration office and facilities and the city. The project costs a lot of fund but it is top be implemented by phases, he said.
