National Action Charter, Pride of Generations to Come

Manama, Feb.13 (BNA): Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA) extended deepest congratulations to the wise leadership marking the 15th anniversary of the National Action Charter. In a statement today, it congratulated the loyal people of Bahrain as well as its members and affiliates on this glorious national occasion. It hailed the landmark press and media strides in the reform era led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, lauding the unprecedented liberties compared with many other countries in the region and the world. The association commended the initiative of the Ministry of Information and Parliament Affairs to launch the Charter of Press Ethics which was signed by the chief editors last December. It reiterated unwavering allegiance to the wise leadership, vowing to continue marching on the same path which draws its foundations from the National Action Charter. "The generations of Bahrain will be so proud of their fathers and forefathers who endorsed the National Action Charter by a sweeping 98.4% majority", it said.
