National Day/ Chairman of the SJC Highlights Judicial Authorities'Achievements

Doha,December 14 (QNA) - HE Massoud Mohamed Al-Ameri , the chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC)has highly praised the tangible achievements made in the field of the judiciary in Qatar in the past few years , thanks to the legislative and regulatory developments scored in the various fields , the matter which enables Qatar occupy an important position on the regional and international levels , and thus turned into a model to suit in development based on the vision and wise strategy . HE the chairman of SJC in an exclusive interview with Qatar News Agency(QNA) on Saturday on the occasion of Qatar's National Day , has conveyed most sincere and heartfelt congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar and the Qatari people asking Allah the Almighty to recur such a national occasion to the best of health and happiness to HH the emir and more pride ,progress , welfare, prosperity and further development to the beloved counry, Qatar under HH's wise leadership . HE Massoud Mohamed Al-Ameri stressed that Qatar was the first country to start achieving the independence of the judiciary authority in order to ensure realizing justice and the protection of rights and freedoms where the judicial authorities in a number of countries in the region are seeking to benefit from such an experiment through the study of the relevant legislations , the principles and the judicial rulings . He pointed to what the SJS has achieved during the current year where the percentage of resolution and settlement in court cases rose to nearly 80% , adding that the Supreme Judicial Council will as usual issue the annual statistical statement ( 2013 ) at the beginning of next year , 2014. HE Massoud Mohamed Al-Ameri , the chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) referred to the ongoing and due keenness of the courts to continue implementing the annual plans for training and qualification which include the judges and their associates, in addition to the administrative cadres at the courts . He made clear that the plan of this year included organizing training courses for judges in Doha and in a number of specialized judicial institutes abroad , in order to enable the judges to get acquainted with the experiences of different jurisdictions and get familiarized with the legal issues and judicial issues. HE Al-Ameri, further told QNA "The annual plan for training also included the organization of training courses and specialized administrative workshops in Doha for the administrative cadres and seconding a number of employees in specialized training courses , where the number of employees enrolled in specialized administrative training courses in Doha and abroad during the current year totalled (202 ) employees . " He also said " that the courts are showing great interest in the issue of attracting young national cadres in the various specializations of the university degree holders and holders of general secondary and intermediate qualifications in jobs by specialty, where (22 ) Qatari employees were recruited this year in various administrative functions ." The chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) further pointed out that the court has this year launched the new version of the website which contained different sections and many electronic services where the new website included information about the degrees of the various courts , and a list of online services and useful information to facilitate follow-up litigants of their cases , and display the schedule of meetings for the lawsuits . HE Al Ameri further pointed out that the new website also includes legal and judicial specialized references and which have been achieved during the past period by a working group composed of judges and employees of the courts, where the system includes the operation of these references a set of multiple search ways enabling its users, according to their needs , from access to the information they contain these encyclopedias in the easiest and quickest ways. His Excellency the chairman of SJC has revealed that a court complex or compound will be established after choosing the site compound to be in the heart of Doha , pointing out that the necessary designs for the project are being prepared since the courts will combined in one place and will contribute to the mitigation of litigants and lawyers.(END)
