National Day/ Somali Charge d' Affairs Praises Qatar's Role in Regional Stability

Doha, December 10 (QNA) - Charge d' Affairs of the Somali Embassy in Qatar Mukhtar Ali Yusuf extended his congratulations on the occasion of the Qatar National Day to the leadership, government and the people of Qatar, stressing that this glorious occasion is a commemoration of Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, the Founder of the State, who devoted his efforts to establish a modern state occupying its rightful place among nations. In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of Qatar National Day, the Somali diplomat said good seed sprout in fertile and arable land, and what was made by the Founder, is a good instill emulated by later generations placing Qatar as a major pivotal and important country in terms of international achievements and positive interaction on the international developments. He praised Qatar's support for his country and for the Somali people in all circumstances and difficult times, saying what Qatar has done about Somalia and the Somali people cannot be forgotten. He extended sincere congratulations on the occasion of Qatar national Day to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Government and the people of Qatar, expressing thanks and gratitude to the Qatari leadership for its permanent support to Somalia stemming from Qatar's keenness to achieve the stability of nations and peoples, praying the Almighty Allah to bless Qatar with more safety, security, stability and economic well-being. He praised Qatar's support to the issues of the Arab and Islamic nation and issues of justice and peace in the world earning through that a good international reputation as a hub for scholars, intellectuals and a platform for solving issues and crises as well hosting important regional and international conferences. He congratulated Qatar on winning the 22nd edition of Gulf Cup of Nations, stressing that this sporting achievement is a real addition to Qatars sports successes, referring in this regard to a number of events due to be hosted by Qatar namely, the 24th Men's Handball World Championship in 2015, the 17th IAAF World Championships in Athletics in 2019 along with various health, educational, social, cultural achievements and infrastructure projects. Concluding, the Somali diplomat renewed his country's esteem for the pioneer role the State of Qatar plays at the regional and international levels, asking Allah the Almighty for the recurrence of such an occasion with further development, progress and prosperity.
