National emergency teams meeting held

Manama, July 5 (BNA): The Supreme Council for Health (SCH)'s Chairman, Lt-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, presided over a meeting of national emergency teams from the Interior Ministry, Health Ministry and BDF medical services hospitals in the presence of the Health Ministry's Undersecretary, Dr. Ayesha Bu Enq and representatives from all the relevant bodies. He affirmed latest developments in the region necessitate more preparedness, readiness and coordination at the national level including emergency teams in SMC, BDF and KHUH hospitals as part of precautionary measures taken by all governmental ministries and authorities in the Kingdom in compliance with the directives of the leadership to confront any emergency, maintain coordination, effectiveness and prompt response and ensure compliance with international standards in this regard. He directed the distribution of ambulances and first aid closer to mosques and places of worship in all governorates in the Kingdom as well as speedy response from the hospitals to receive and treat emergency cases and instruct medical and nursing staff for full readiness.
