National Festival Of Iranian Ethnic Groups Starts In Khalkhal

Ardebil, Aug 7, IRNA – The first national festival of Iranian ethnic groups traditional cuisine kicked off in the city of Khalkhal in northwestern province of Ardebil on Wednesday. Ethnic groups and artists from 25 provinces of Iran are participating in the festival. In the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, a number of Majlis (parliament) deputies and executive directors of the province as well as hundreds of guests from all over the country were attending. The festival is organized in three main sections of traditional cuisine, pastries and gifts, local customs and handicrafts. The 3-day festival will end on Saturday August 9, 2014./end
