National forum on reforms in policies on sciences and innovations starts

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A national forum with this theme began Thursday in the State House. Co-organized by Mongolia’s Ministry of Education and Science and the UNESCO, the forum has brought together 700 delegates from 109 domestic organizations and 20 foreign delegates from six countries. They are discussing a nowadays level of the Mongolian sciences and technologies' innovations, urgent problems and their solution, and are learning each other experience. The Prime Minister addressed the forum, saying that his cabinet is paying attention to creating of proper conditions for scholars and scientists so that they become more creative and compete with each other by their works. Sub-meetings will run under four main topics, keynote reports will be delivered by 16 people. The first report themed "Present situation of the of science, technology and innovations sectors in Mongolia, developmental policy" has been given by L.Gantomor, the Minister of Education and Science, a "Role of basic research in a technological and innovation development, its tendency" report will be delivered by A.Galtbayar, a rector of the Mongolian State University (MSU). Other scientists, including foreign ones, are expected to take the floor as well. At the end of the forum, a recommendation will be released on the policy of Mongolia on science and technological sectors, structure, management and developmental tendency after the reports and discussions feedback.
