National library To Host Seminar On Iran Travelogues Of French Explorers

Tehran, May 12, IRNA - The National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI) will be hosting a seminar this afternoon on the travelogues some French explorers wrote about their visits to Iran over the past few centuries. The NLAI will hold the colloquium in collaboration with the Iran-France Friendship Society, the Bokhara literary magazine and Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Organization, the English-language daily ˈTehran Timesˈ said on Monday. Professor François Moureau of the University of Paris-Sorbonne and an eminent expert on French travel literature will deliver a speech at the seminar, which will begin at 5:00 p.m. He is founder and the former director of the Center for Research on Literature of Travel. French Ambassador Bruno Foucher, NLAI Director Reza Salehi-Amiri and several Iranian literati will also give lectures at the seminar./end
