National Media Council signs MoU with Social Affairs Ministry

Abu Dhabi: The National Media Council (NMC) and the Ministry of Social Affairs have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance coordination and cooperation between them. Naji Jamal Al Hai, Acting Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, and Abdullah bin Bduwah Al Darmaki, Executive Director for Media Affairs at NMC, signed the agreement in the presence of senior NMC officials. The MoU is aimed at promoting coordination between the two sides on technical, technological, legal, procedural and training spheres. Through the agreement, the two parties seek to promote the exchange of knowledge, institutional expertise, data and documents at all levels in order to ensure easy access to, and update of data. In addition, the MoU provides a framework for understanding between the signatories on advertisements relating to children, and putting them in line with the regulations and plans of the Social Affairs Ministry. It also provides for facilitating the dissemination of the Ministry's news, statements and information as well as for giving WAM reporters easy access to them. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
