National work pioneers honoured

Manama, May 29 (BNA): The son of Personal Representative of His Majesty the King Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa patronised yesterday the 12th ceremony to honour national work pioneers in Muharraq. The celebration was held at bin Hindi Majlis in Muharraq in the presence of many dignitaries. On arrival, Shaikh Salman was welcomed mainly by Advisor to HM the King for Youth and Sport Saleh bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mennai and Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mennai. The Advisor to HM the King for Youth and Sport welcomed in a speech Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, lauding his patronage of the ceremony. On his part, the Muharraq Governor expressed thanks and gratitude to Shaikh Salman, praising the visit as a reflection of the noble care given by HM the King to Muharraq and its citizens. After a speech by Muharraq Deputy Governor Brigadier Zuhair Al Absi and Khalifa Al Shawmali, who spoke on behalf of the honourees, Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa honoured the pioneers of national work and presented them with certificates and commemorative gifts. At the end of the celebration, the Advisor to HM the King for Youth and Sport and Muharraq Governor presented Shaikh Salman with a commemorative gift depicting the glorious past of Muharraq in direct connection with the sea.
