NCPO's press center moved to Bangkok's Government House

BANGKOK, June 3 (TNA) - The National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) has moved its press center from the Thai Army Auditorium in Bangkok's Thewes area to Government House, together with its new team of spokespersons. Royal Thai Army Secretary Major General Polpat Wannapak told journalists that the relocation, as of June 3, is aimed at setting a clear direction of information from the NCPO. Deployed at Government House is the new team of NCPO spokespersons, including Captain Dr. Yongyuth Maiyalarp and Patamaporn Ratanadilok na Phuket from the government-run Public Relations Department, who represent the NCPO’s mouthpiece for civil affairs. The old team of NCPO spokespersons remains to represent the Royal Thai Army, including Colonel Winthai Suvaree. A representative of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs will join the team later to communicate foreign news reports. According to the Royal Thai Army secretary, the NCPO will, from now on, hold its press conferences at Santi Maitree Building in the compound of the Government House. Dr. Yongyuth said the NCPO will use the website, [www.thaigov.go.th], the Thai Khu Fah facebook page and the journal of Government House to communicate with the general public and the international community. Dr. Yongyuth noted that the NCPO will have its daily press conferences and will work with spokespersons of ministries to coordinate its communications through ministerial websites. (TNA)
