Nearly 100 Thai students granted EU scholarships 2013

BANGKOK, July 13 (TNA) - The European Union (EU) delegation to Thailand hosted a reception in Bangkok on Friday to congratulate 90 Thai students who has been granted scholarships, under the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Programme 2013 and will leave for different EU countries next month for their further studies. The Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Programme is a globally-recognized scholarship programme aimed to promote academic cooperation among countries around the world. Since the start of the EU's Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Programme in 2004, more than 600 Thai students and scholars have been granted such the prestige scholarships. For 2013 alone, there have been 90 awardees selected from Thailand, marking the highest rate for the Kingdom since the European scholarship program was introduced to the country. (TNA)
