Negotiations on free trade zone between EAEU with Iran to begin in autumn

MOSCOW, August 25. /TASS/. The first discussions between the representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) with Iran on the possibility of establishing a free trade area are planned for the autumn of this year, the Minister in charge of Trade of the EEC Andrey Slepnev told journalists Tuesday. "We made a decision to start a joint research with Iran on a free trade area. Armenia and Kazakhstan came up with the initiative, in favor of this decision. They are interested in developing relations with Iran," Slepnev said. According to him, the issue of free trade with Iran is being reviewed, in particular, in relation to the Silk Road project.
