New Ambassadors to Thailand Present Credentials

BANGKOK, Nov 28 (TNA) - Seven newly- appointed foreign ambassadors, including US ambassador Glyn Townsend Davies, have presented credentials to HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand who performed the duty on behalf of His Majesty the King. The credentials ceremony was held at Bangkok’s Dusit Palace on Friday. The first envoy to have presented ambassador credentials to HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn was the new German ambassador Peter Pruegel followed by Kshenuka Dhireni Senewiratne, ambassador for Sri Lanka to Thailand. Mrs. Senewiratne formerly served as deputy permanent secretary for Foreign Affairs Ministry . Third new ambassador to Thailand was Nasreddin Rimouche of Alegeria. He also represents as ambassador to Malaysia. Staffan Herrstrom is new ambassador for Sweden to Thailand. He was formerly Swedish ambassador to Poland before his posting in Thailand. Benjamin Clement Eghan of Ghana presented his credentials as new ambassador to Thailand. He also serves as ambassador to Malaysia. Ivo Sieber presented his credentials to HRH Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn in becoming new ambassador of Switzerland to Thailand. Before his appointment, he served as ambassador for his country in several countries including the Philippines. The last new ambassador to have presented his credentials was new US ambassador to the kingdom. Mr. Glyn Townsend Davies served as senior advisor at the US State Department before accepting his current post. (TNA)
