New barcode traffic tickets come into force

BANGKOK, Dec 17 (TNA) - Police on Monday will discuss any problem, which might occur after new traffic violation tickets with barcodes come into force today. Maj-General Jirapat Phumjit, deputy chief of the Metropolitan Police Bureau said the police are instructed to gather information concerning the new traffic violation tickets and inform to the meeting, scheduled early Monday. He believed traffic policemen should not find any problem because the new tickets allow traffic violators to pay fines at banks or to deny charges. Traffic offenders can now pay fines at Krung Thai Bank or through ATM, internet banking, post offices and at counter services. (TNA)
