New Qatar Relief Aid to the Balkans

Doha, May 28 (QNA) -Under the sublime directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al -Thani , and out of its due keenness to supply relief aid to flood-affected countries, Qatar has provided relief aid to victims of the floods which hit the Balkan area recently and left dozens of thousands displaced, wounded and killed. A Qatari cargo plane carrying relief aid for the flood-stricken people, left Doha on Wednesday to the Republic of Serbia. The assistance, transported by the Search and Rescue Team of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) includes 47 tonnes of various relief materials, medical supplies, foodstuffs, tents and blankets. Earlier Tuesday Qatar dispatched 42 tonnes of aid to flood victims in Bosnia and Herzegovina aboard three cargo planes. (QNA)
