New system to be introduced in immigration management

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Immigration Agency of Mongolia, along with the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has launched a project on immigration management on Wednesday. The project aimed at introduction of a cyber system to regulate citizenship and migration matters will be carried out under an irreversible funding of KOICA until early 2016. This project will enable accurate monitoring of migration, better protection of the rights of Mongolians residing abroad, and rendering legal assistance to them. Aimed at enhanced proper inspection over foreign nationals, international organizations and foreign-invested entities that have entered to or have operations in Mongolia, a new united database will be created within the project. The database will also be used in border checkpoints, said project managers during the inception of the project.
