Newspapers Hail Qatar's Assistance to Sisterly and Friendly Countries to Combat Coronavirus

Doha, April 28 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers hailed in their editorials on Tuesday the urgent medical assistance provided by the State of Qatar under the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to sisterly and friendly countries since the outbreak of the coronavirus, stressing that Qatar has embodied the finest concepts of human solidarity in responding to the pandemic by laying the foundations of international unity and solidarity to overcome this global crisis. For its part, Al-Raya daily said that the State of Qatar, once again, demonstrates its support for brothers and friends in times of crisis, noting the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to send urgent medical aid to the Republic of Tunisia to support the Tunisian brothers in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. HH the Amir also directed to send urgent medical aid to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal and the Republic of Rwanda, in support of the efforts of friends in both countries to fight the outbreak of the coronavirus, Al-Raya added. The State of Qatar believes that the war against the coronavirus is a joint responsibility, and calls upon the world to unite in the face of this pandemic, Al-Raya stressed. The paper underlined that solidarity in the face of the pandemic has become an urgent global imperative after it caused health, economic and social crises across all world countries. The State of Qatar has always proved its readiness to respond and help, Al-Raya stressed, adding that despite its fierce war against the pandemic, Qatar was keen on supporting brothers and friends stemming from its belief that confronting this pandemic is a collective responsibility and a human duty. The paper noted that the State of Qatar was among the first countries to support China in its crisis, and also sent medical aid to Palestine, Lebanon, Italy and Iran. The State of Qatar has always extended a helping hand to those in need in various circumstances, and it is now giving the finest example of human solidarity despite its fierce fight against the pandemic, Al-Raya concluded. Meanwhile, Al-Watan said that the reality of countries and their keenness on international safety and security appear in times of crisis, and the State of Qatar has always proved its support whenever needed. In this context, Al-Watan noted Qatar's assistance to Iran, Gaza Strip and Italy, and to all those in need for support in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The State of Qatar has never forget its humanitarian role in spite of its national war against the pandemic, stemming from its belief in the importance of the international cooperation to overcome this global crisis. Based on this firm belief in the importance of collective global efforts to overcome the coronavirus crisis, HH the Amir also directed to send urgent medical aid to the sisterly Republic of Tunisia in support of the efforts of the brothers in Tunisia to fight the outbreak of the pandemic. HH the Amir also directed to send medical aid to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal and the Republic of Rwanda, in support of the efforts of friends in both countries to fight the outbreak of virus, Al-Watan added. The State of Qatar embodied the finest concepts of human solidarity in responding to the coronavirus pandemic by laying the foundations of international unity and solidarity to overcome this global crisis, Al-Watan underlined. Al-Sharq daily said that the State of Qatar is fighting the coronavirus pandemic with precautionary measures and high readiness at the national level by ensuring the highest level of healthcare and providing treatment to everyone as well as proving the health sector's capacity to respond to the infected cases. Meanwhile, at the international level, the State has provided assistance to the countries affected by the pandemic, stemming from its belief in the principle of joint responsibility and cooperation in the face of global crises, prompting praise and appreciation by countries and the World Health Organization. The Qatari role in international cooperation and solidarity and in support of the UN efforts to achieve ceasefire around the world was always recognized and appreciated. Qatar's role in now evident through its cooperation with the World Health Organization to face the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic, where it operated urgent air bridges to transfer medical supplies, in addition to ensuring the safe return of a number of citizens of friendly and brotherly countries to their countries through Qatar Airways which played an important role in this regard in light of the closure and the suspension of flights worldwide, Al-Sharq said. The State of Qatar realizes that the world is going through extraordinary circumstance that calls for collective efforts to face the coronavirus pandemic which has consequences on the global health and economy, the paper added. Thanks to the lofty directives, Qatar continues to carry out is humanitarian duty firmly until the world overcome the pandemic, Al-Sharq concluded. For its part, Al-Arab newspaper said in its editorial Tuesday that HH the Amirs directives once again to send urgent medical assistance to a number of brotherly and friendly countries in light of the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), come within the framework of the humanitarian role that Qatar plays worldwide, and in support of the efforts of brothers and friends in fighting the pandemic. The Qatari assistance, the paper said, reflect HH the Amirs keenness on the security and stability of peoples, therefore, Qatar harnesses its political position in this regard by adopting conflicts resolution at the negotiating table, the paper said. The paper also underlined Qatars support for brotherly and friendly peoples at any crisis, such as the current coronavirus pandemic, referring to the recent Qatari support to the Palestinian and Lebanese people to confront the coronavirus, in addition to the previous aid sent to Iran, China and Italy. In addition to its role in fighting this pandemic externally by sending aids to countries where cases of infection have reached high levels, the State of Qatar at the internal level continues to take health measures to confront the virus, the paper added. These measures proved again that Qatar always deals with crises with high professionalism, especially in terms of the use of early monitoring devices, which contributed to reducing the risk of the virus, without underestimation or amplification, discovering many infections and increasing the number of people recovering from the virus, the paper added. In conclusion, Al-Arab stressed that these measures, including the prevention of gatherings in public places, were met with great satisfaction from the society which interacts with the countrys efforts by following the instructions issued by the Ministry of Public Health without panic, avoiding circulation of rumors and being responsible for conveying facts according to the competent health authorities, which in turn deals with the crisis with full transparency, as cases are announced honestly without delay.
