Newspapers Praise Qatar's Commitment to Its Promises

Doha, July 18 (QNA) - Qatari newspapers, Al-Sharq and Al-Watan, praised the State of Qatar for honoring its pledges, referring to its promise of quick aid and urgent assistance to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the formation of a joint committee to follow up the implementation of the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on providing 10,000 job opportunities for Jordanians in Qatar. In their editorials on Wednesday, the Qatari dailies underlined that the support of Jordan is a duty of every Muslim country keen on the Arab central cause, noting that the initiative is stemmed from Qatar's firm principles and its authentic Arab values. For its part, Al-Sharq newspaper highlighted the initiative launched by the State of Qatar under the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in support of Jordan which is facing difficult circumstances. The initiative, which provides for the providing 10,000 job opportunities for Jordanian youth in Qatar as well as the investment of $500 million in infrastructure projects and tourism to contribute to the recovery of the Jordanian economy and development, stemmed from Qatar's firm principles and authentic Arab values, and a brotherly initiative away from all interests and agendas, Al-Sharq said. The paper added that the initiative was translated into executive steps with the invitation of HE Jordan's Minister of Labor Samir Murad to discuss the necessary mechanisms, praising the formation of the joint Qatari-Jordanian committee to follow up the implementation of the initiative and provide a database to facilitate the process for the private and public sectors in Qatar. Al-Sharq noted that the Qatari initiatives are well-known for its focus on providing job opportunities for the youth through "Silatech" initiative, which addresses the growing unemployment crisis among the young generation in the Arab world in order to reduce poverty, promote social cohesion and stability, support lasting peace and alienate hopeless youth from the danger of falling into the grip of extremism and terrorism. Meanwhile, Qatari newspaper Al-Watan said that the State of Qatar fulfilled its commandments to Jordan after the formation of a joint committee to follow up the implementation of the directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to provide 10,000 job opportunities for the Jordanian youth in Qatar. The Qatar daily highlighted the meeting between HE Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani and HE Jordan's Minister of Labor Samir Murad, in which they reviewed the cooperation ties between the two countries and ways of promoting them in various fields, and the announcement of HE Minister of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi on providing a database to facilitate the process for private and public sectors in Qatar to choose a candidate that meets their needs and wishes to work in Qatar. HE Minister Al Nuaimi expected the 1000 jobs would be available to Jordanian youth by September. Al-Watan stressed that Qatar responded to the Jordanian crises without media showoff, and that supporting Jordan is a duty of every Muslim country. (QNA)
